If you missed my presentation at theย Vlog/Blog Conference on February 3rd at Gallaudet, you can see it here. In my presentation, I discussed the following; discourse, vlog samples that contributed to the elevation of our discourse, and what vlogs bring for us today and beyond at Gallaudet. Be advised that it is about 16 minutes long. Enjoy.
Obviously, YES, it is a must!
ReplyPoint well-taken!
I am one of the people who would start vlog very soon! I promise.
Cheers! ๐
ReplyWhat a Wonderful Job…I believe that we all deaf people enjoying this kind of VBlog in a postive way!
ReplyWow! That is very true that ASL vlog is expanding fastest! Thank you, Joey, for sharing with us all. We need more Deaf people to put vlog with courage and brave.

Gracefully done! Either you or Carl is our Deaf Moses. I am not sure which you or Carl are Moses’s brother lol! Both of you are leading us to find our home and perserve ASL. We better not wander next 40 years. We owe you guys bunches! ๐
ReplyNever did I realize until now that it is your first Vlog anniversary! Congratulations! It feels like just yesterday when I first saw it. Tempus fugit! As I look back, I cannot agree more with you that 2006 was the most unforgettable year since the turn of this millennium. The birth of vlog is so historic! It should be added in Dr. Jack R. Gannon’s “Deaf Heritage” because, for the record, your vlog has been one of technology’s most modern devices since our highly esteemed George Veditz’s time in 1880! I hope you will send a copy of your DVD to the Gallaudet archives.
Long Live the Vlog!

Wow!!!
ReplyBetter to record DVD “Deaf Heritage” book translate into ASL from english. That would be helpful everyone those are low-educated and educated people more better then back reading these books.. It would be nice to watch Vlogs/Blogs….
Peiris
Wow! Your presentation is very powerful. Yes, True ASL must grow and stronger! It took many years for George Veditz’s dream to come. pah? When pah?
ReplyA big yes to Tissa Peiris. Why not, Joey? It is like a vlog course on Deaf History from different books on deaf-related issues — the way we taught to the Preppies in the classroom. More and more universities and colleges offer online courses, so I will say, “Way to go” for you to Vlog on Deaf History so deaf people around the world would watch.

ReplyLong Live ASL VLOG!
Replythat 1913 movie cut hit me so hard as it was after my early deaf family members were born!
thanks to ya!
yeah -you are so simple and rather dry, but yet so clear, i do enjoy your show over some other egoisticial and so-called colorful ones. ha.
why are you working at the sheltered workplace as a state employee? get out and get into the real world?? as a full time blogger? or you still need the school ‘s facilities?
too hard to survive on the peanuts the real world would offer you to start off, yes i know that. but i shall bet on it that you might be successful if you are willing to gamble and dream.
ReplyThis way seen, I feel that I must make more videos on my blog. This blog will become vlog. That will Flemings (people in Belgium of North) more able discuss. Thank you for your wonderfull information!!!

ReplyOutstanding presentation!!! I always enjoy watching vlogs……Preserve our ASL always!!!!!
ReplyWow! I am definitely GLAD that you added your presentation in your vlog! I enjoyed your “far-out” presentation! Your ASL vlog is added to my link list in the ASU-ASL Donna’s Blog! Keep up the wonderful work! Smile!
ReplyHi, your vlog raises the standards as always. I enjoy all of them. I’m addicted. This is great. More of your very best.
They say that language achieves permanence via record. The English language didn’t change quite so drastically once they started making printed dictionaries. Will this be the same for ASL?
Joey, if you are interested in discussing and sharing some research ideas I have, please contact me via private e-mail.
ReplyThank you for doing this.
I am an interpreter and I have to say that your vlog is making it possible for those of us who find it important to keep up on events in the Deaf community to do so. It is so important to be able to keep up.
I can only imagine the possibilities of what this new media will do for ASL and the Deaf community at large. I am honored to be alive and a peripheral member of the Deaf World at this time.
ReplyI admired your powerful presentations to debut the new generations of deaf/hard of hearing vloggers. It will always enrich our thoughts and discussion to share with each other. Enduring our beautiful language and expression ever. Keep it up and don’t allow the vlogs to loose. ASL Vlogs are great preservations for our history.
ReplyHey Joey. Great job of discussing the vlog impact on Deaf people worldwide! I plan to have one soon .. Keep it up!!
ReplyHey Joey, Great job. I just want to say as a hearing person, I have been able to gain greater insight into the Deaf community. I can read or watch other Deaf comments and concerns. Vlogs have been very educational for me. Thanks for all you great work.
